Forest Park is your stop for entertainment, celebration and fun. With so much to see and do in Forest Park, we suggest you add these June events to your calendar pronto, then head over to our events page to see what’s coming up because you won’t want to miss a thing.     

Stoop Sessions | June 11th, 7-8pm

Summer 2024 Stoop Sessions hosted by the Arts Alliance of Forest Park are just getting started! Held on a neighbor’s front porch, these mini-concerts are free and open to the public. First up is Matt Greenberg and Gas Station Sushi. Grab a blanket and chair and join your neighbors for an enjoyable and entertaining summer night. Storytime at Popelka Park |  June 14, 11 to 11:30 am

Available spots are going fast so register now! Join the Forest Park Public Library at Popelka Park for Storytime. Designed for ages 6 and under, this active Storytime includes music & movement. Movies in the Park | June 14, held at dusk

Looking for something fun and free to do with kiddos after dinner? The Park District of Forest Park’s ‘Movies in the Park’ series is the perfect choice…and the popcorn is free! Juneteenth Pool Party | June 15,  6:30 to 9:30 pm

Join friends, neighbors and the Village of Forest Park to commemorate freedom and unity at the annual Juneteenth Pool Party at the Park District Aquatic Center. Everyone is welcome.  Location:  Forest Park Aquatic Center – 7501 Harrison Street, Forest Park.  Click here to learn more.

Groov’n in the Grove | June 18, 7 to 10 pm

Groov’n in the Grove is back!  Grab a blanket or chair and enjoy an evening of free music under the stars. Groove to Lakeside Revival Band’s soulful eclectic mix of classic rock and R & B jams. Forest Park German Fest | June 21,  4 to 11 pm & June 22, 12 to 11 pm

Why wait ‘til October when you can enjoy authentic German food and entertainment in June at this family friendly event? Bratwurst, sauerkraut, schnitzel, potato salad and German pretzels (is your mouth watering yet?). Roasted corn, hot dogs fresh squeezed lemonade, wine and German Beer are also on the menu…and plenty of kid-friendly food and activities. Forest Park Annual Pride Fest | June 21 , 5 to 8 pm

Let’s celebrate love, diversity and equality together in Forest Park! Grab a chair and get a front row seat to a fabulous evening of live music, dazzling drag performances, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and so much more. Law Enforcement Torch Run | June 22, 8 am

Witness the dedication of law enforcement officers and cheer them on as they carry the torch to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics. You can also donate here to support Team Proviso.  Location: Van Buren parking lot, Forest Park.

Juneteenth Community Celebration | June 22 , 11 am to 6 pm

The Village of Forest Park and the Village of Westchester are teaming up for this family-friendly community celebration. Food trucks, DJ, line dance lessons, kid’s fun zone, giveaways and more.   Location:  Gladstone Park – 850 Westchester Blvd., Westchester.  Click here for more information.

Summer Concert Series at the Park & MART in the Park | June 26, 6:30 to 8 pm

The fun never stops in Forest Park! Classical Blast kicks off the first concert in the Park District of Forest Park’s Summer Concert Series at the Pavilion behind the Roos. They combine musical genres to create new and exciting sounds…and band members have impressive recording and performance street cred.  New this year – MART in the Park with the Arts Alliance Forest Park!  It’s like a arts & crafts fair meets a flea market with a groovin’ musical backdrop.  Location: Pavilion at the Roos Center – 7329 Harrison Street, Forest Park.  Click here for more information.
