McKenzie Memorial Golf Outing September 9, 2010
The annual golf outing is named in honor of long-time Village Clerk William R. McKenzie. Held at Carriage Greens in Darien, the shotgun-start, best ball format outing features a putting contest, wagering holes, lunch on the course, a prime rib dinner, prizes and a raffle. A juried show of fine art and crafts, Forest Park Arts Fest features some 50-plus Midwest artists including local, national and internationally acclaimed artists showcasing art diversity ranging from photography and ceramics to pottery, glass art and mixed media.

Holiday Walk December 3, 2010
You'll revel in all things Christmas while strolling Madison Street during the Holiday Walk. Horsedrawn sleigh rides, photo opps with Santa and his reindeer, a marshmallow roast, face painting and a chocolate fountain are among the treats awaiting you -- but the highlight is the shopkeeper's windows - featuring creative and sometimes humorous live holiday displays. You've never seen anything like it - not even on State Street!
St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 5, 2011
Growing in popularity each year, this annual parade is one of the largest in the western suburbs. The 70-plus entries include several bagpipe bands, the award-winning Proviso Marching Band, local businesses, Medinah Shriner's Mini Choppers, Roaring 57's and Clown Unit, area police and fire vehicles, floats, Irish Dancers, Forest Park Dog Park, Toys for Tots and more. The Chamber's annual meeting is a relaxed and enjoyable gathering time for members and guests. A favorite of Forest Park school children for countless years is the annual all school picnic. Aside from a day off from school, kids and their families enjoy hot dogs, popsicles, pony rides, games, races, music and other entertainment. The Chamber is a long-time co-sponsor of the picnic along with the PTO and PTA.
