St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 10, 2012
Growing in popularity each year, this annual parade is one of the largest in the western suburbs. The 70-plus entries include several bagpipe bands, the award-winning Proviso Marching Band, local businesses, Medinah Shriner's Mini Choppers, Roaring 57's and Clown Unit, area police and fire vehicles, floats, Irish Dancers, Forest Park Dog Park, Toys for Tots and more. The festivities continue after the parade as local and area residents, friends and families spend the day on Madison Street.

Annual Meeting May 9, 2012
The Chamber's annual meeting is a relaxed and enjoyable gathering time for members and guests. The evening features a 'Taste of Forest Park', a live and silent auction, presentation of PRIDE Awards and a short program. Bob Haeger All School Picnic May 24, 2012
A favorite of Forest Park school children for countless years is the annual all school picnic. Aside from a day off from school, kids and their families enjoy hot dogs, popsicles, pony rides, games, races, music and other entertainment. The Chamber is a long-time co-sponsor of the picnic along with the PTO and PTA.

http://www.summerfestfp.com Hosted by The Forest Park Chamber of Commerce & Development, this hip summer festival features live music, a beer garden, a food court starring popular local eateries, and local merchant sidewalk sale, demonstrations, 'Senior Square' with bingo and prizes, arts and crafts, children's entertainment, pony rides, face painting, a giant lighted slide and much more.
100th Anniversary Masquerade Ball Friday, October 26, 2012
Celebrate the Chamber's 100th Anniversary by joining us for the inaugural Masquerade Ball! If you enjoy a good time (and you know we always have fun!) you won't want to miss this event. Held on both floors of the Park District of Forest Park's party rooms, the evening will include cocktails, gourmet appetizers by Gaetano, music and dancing, a Grand Prize Raffle and, of course, prizes for the best costumes. Tickets will go one sale shortly so check back soon (only 175 tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis) OR send us an email and we'll contact you when tickets are available.
Forest Park Flapper Ghost Casket Races Saturday, October 27, 2012
Casket races, you say? YES! With all the famous folks buried in Forest Park (and the fact that thirty times the living population are interred in Forest Park cemeteries) it's a perfect fit! Simply good, clean fun, the Casket Races will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012. While we're working out the fine details of this inaugural event, start planning your team of four and ideas for your 'Casket' design. The Chamber's official prototype will be unveiled at the St. Patrick's Day parade (Saturday, March 10) and official race rules, casket specs, etc. will be available soon.
Holiday Walk November 30, 2012
You'll revel in all things Christmas while strolling Madison Street during the Holiday Walk. Horse-drawn sleigh rides, photo opportunities with Santa and his reindeer, a marshmallow roast, face painting and merchant open houses featuring special sales, refreshments and more are among the treats awaiting you -- but the highlight is the shopkeeper's windows - featuring creative and sometimes humorous live holiday displays. You've never seen anything like it - not even on State Street!
